What is Nose Threadlift?

Nose Threadlift is a non-surgical procedure that improves the nose aesthetically without undergoing the risks of surgical rhinoplasty.

PDO (polydioxanone) Threads are used in this procedure. PDO is widely used as a surgery stitch thread which is also safe to human body. As a colorless biodegradable synthetic polymer, it is a monofilament, so hydrolyzed in body and then naturally excreted by urine within 6 months. Thus, PDO is safe to human body.

PDO Threads operates in the cell as mechanical external stimulus, and brings about the following effects by providing external stimulus within skin.

  • Production of collagen
  • Circulation of micro vessel
  • Surrounding tissue adhesion
  • Surronding tissue anchoring
  • Inducement of skin generation

What the treatment involves:

The PDO Threads procedure takes about 30 minutes. Local anesthesia is injected into the treated area and the thread(s) is then placed underneath the skin using a fine needle. The thread(s) is held in place underneath the skin.

To enhance tissue holding strength, two types of pattern are barbed. One is multidirectional cogs and the other is uni-directional cogs which allow the treated area to be contoured and lifted. Depending on the needs of each individual, 4 to 6 threads is used during the procedure. There is no need for these threads to be removed as components used are natural and fully absorbable.

Expected results are lift of nasal ridge, and shrinkage of nasal base.
