How does Fotona Laser work in Rosacea? 

Fotona Laser has a long-pulsed ND Yag component which works by burning off the tiny blood vessels which characterise rosacea 

What the treatment involves: 

The patient experiences some redness and warmth immediately post treatment. But there are no open ablative wounds post treatment and hence no downtime. 

No anaesthesia is required. 

After the treatment: 

Patient is advised to reduce intake of alcohol and spicy food, as well as reduce sun exposure and heat to reduce chances of relapse. 

Results are maintained by topical creams like Soolantra 

Typically, a patient needs 3 to 5 sessions.
