Frequently Asked Questions

“Where are your fillers from and what brands do you carry?

Juvederm and Restylane, and they are from the USA,  FDA approved.

At SGAC, we ensure that quality is in the heart of all we do, so we can deliver safe care and administer government-approved treatments to our patients. Juvederm ULTRA has a unique hyaluronic acid matrix, which attracts and retains water, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles and skin folds, resulting in better contours of the face around the lips, chin and nose.

“What happens after I get my fillers?”

There may be slight swelling (more common in lip augmentation). Bruising may also occur at the injection sites. However, swelling and bruising, if any, should resolve in 3 to 5 days’ time. To minimise bruising, the patient is given a cold compress and advised to rest in the clinic for about 30 minutes. Patients are advised to avoid places of high heat (eg sauna) to lengthen the effect of fillers. For the first 2 weeks, patients are advised not to have facial massages which may alter the shape of the fillers. Patients should also avoid pressure on the filled areas (eg. do not sleep on the nose which received treatment). Results last from 6-12 months.

“Will there be any pain during the procedure? Is it scary?”

Our doctors and therapists are highly professional in their trade. Assurance is often given to first-timers or nervous patients to alleviate their anxiety. The procedure may cause a bit of discomfort but our patient generally tolerates it well. Most of our clients go home, happy with their voluptuous and natural looking lips and new fillers.

“How much does it cost?”

– Mole removal via Electrocautery cost $375 for removal of up to 5 moles. Thereafter, each additional mole will cost $53.50.

– Mole removal via Laser cost $375 for removal of up to 3 moles. Thereafter, each additional mole will cost $80.25

– Mole removal via Excision cost $375 per mole

For larger moles or fewer moles, it would be doctor’s discretion on the charges.

The cost is for the procedure only, medication is exclusive.

“What constitutes the criteria of larger moles?”

4mm and above, but any moles that cause skin irritation, are irregular in shape or size should be taken care of by your preferred dermatologist.

“What’s the difference between electrocautery and laser?”

Mole removal via laser applies high energy selectively on the pigments within skin and evaporates the pigments.

Therefore, the laser eliminates unwanted moles without damaging the surrounding skin cells.

Mole removal via electrocautery uses heat to burn off tissue.

A specialised cauterization tool will be used to apply heat to the surface of the mole, causing it to vaporise.

“Is it going to hurt?”

Before the procedure, our doctor will apply topical anaesthetic to numb the target area. You may feel slight discomfort and redness after, feeling either like a small rubber-band snapping on you, or some pressure during the removal process.

“What is skin rejuvenation via nano infusion?”

Nano Infusion Therapy is a method of microchip technology that stimulates collagen production in the skin by safely infusing active ingredients through microscopic channels.

“How is it done? Is it painful?”

Nano Infusion Therapy is  pain free while stimulating collagen production in the skin. This treatment combats fine lines, skin dehydration, mild sagginess and smooths the skin texture without the need to go under the knife.

“For your V-shape package, how many shots are given?  Also, how many units are injected for jaw muscle reduction?”

The package consists of UltraSkin Hifu on the lower half of the face and Toxin Injection to have a sharper and tighter jawline. This is a holistic approach towards contouring your face to achieve the best results possible. We are administering 400 shots of UltraSkin Hifu and 50 units of  Toxin injection

How quickly will I see results and how long will it last?”

Results can be seen within 1-2 months post procedure, and can last up till 1 year.

“Shooting a laser into my skin sounds dangerous and painful.”

HIFU is administered by a medical professional and each shot is prescribed carefully, with utmost precision and accuracy. Our clients enjoy great results after the procedure and are often happy with their newly contoured face.

“Will I look fake?

ULTRA Skin HIFU and Toxin injection treatments fall under the umbrella for Aesthetic Medicine. SGAC specialises in non-invasive treatments that can help you enhance your features without the need to go under the knife, achieving a natural look.

“Is it true that my skin will sag even more if I stop going for injection?”
